On November 19, 2021, the first "Waterproof Material Inspector" training course jointly organized by the Shenzhen Waterproof Industry Association Training Center and the Shenzhen Institute of Metrology and Quality Inspection was successfully held at the Guangming Base of the Shenzhen Institute of Metrology and Quality Inspection. The aim is to enhance the quality management level of various waterproof material production enterprises, improve the laboratory product quality inspection capabilities, and ensure that product quality meets national requirements.

At the training meeting, Professor Qu Peihua, president of the Shenzhen Waterproof Industry Association, briefly introduced the current market situation of waterproof materials and the gap in professional quality supervision and inspection talents; Huang Kaisheng, director of the Light Industry Department of the Shenzhen Institute of Metrology and Quality Inspection, delivered a welcome speech; Deputy Minister Zhao Yan gave a lecture on the current situation of quality supervision standards for waterproof coatings; Senior Engineer Xu Dongyu presented an interpretation of national standards and Shenzhen standards for harmful substances in waterproof coatings; Engineer Ouyang Kechuan presented an interpretation of physical performance standards for waterproof coatings; Engineer Cao Chengcheng conducted a practical demonstration of testing harmful substances and performance in waterproof coatings. An examination was also conducted at the training meeting, and qualified students will be awarded a chemical testing inspector certificate recognized by the Guangdong Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security.
