The association standard "Testing Methods for Engineering Requirements of Building Waterproof Materials" (T/CWA 302-2023), approved by the China Building Waterproof Association, officially came into effect on March 25, 2023. This standard is a key project matching the implementation of the mandatory provisions of GB55030-2022.

The "Testing Methods for Engineering Requirements of Building Waterproof Materials" (T/CWA 302-2023) specifies the general provisions and testing processes for engineering requirements of building waterproof membranes, building waterproof coatings, and cement-based waterproof materials. It applies to testing methods for engineering requirement projects such as the combustion performance, water resistance, thermal aging, artificial climate accelerated aging, joint peel strength, lap joint impermeability, durability against corrosive media, pressure resistance of mortar specimens, bonding strength, frost resistance, and water absorption rate of waterproof materials. It is not applicable to the basic performance tests of waterproof membranes, waterproof coatings, and cement-based waterproof materials.

Zhuozhongzhizhong, as a high-quality building waterproof system service provider, was invited to participate in the preparation of the standard "Testing Methods for Engineering Requirements of Building Waterproof Materials" (T/CWA 302-2023). The "General Specification for Waterproofing in Building and Municipal Engineering" (GB 55030-2022) officially came into effect today, marking a milestone in the history of the development of building waterproof technology in China, attracting widespread attention from the domestic waterproof industry. This standard is a mandatory engineering construction specification, and all provisions must be fully implemented. Any existing engineering construction standards that are inconsistent with this specification must be revised according to its provisions. The preparation of the standard for "Testing Methods for Engineering Requirements of Building Waterproof Materials" addresses the "Material Engineering Requirements" proposed in Chapter 3 of the "General Specification for Waterproofing in Building and Municipal Engineering" (GB 55030-2022). Through a series of work including equipment research and development and testing verification, it proposes testing methods that match the engineering requirements for building waterproof materials, which is beneficial for the smooth implementation of the "General Specification for Waterproofing in Building and Municipal Engineering" and promotes the improvement of the quality of building waterproof projects.
